Plexiglass and Paint
This week we experimented with plexiglass and paint. We squeezed, mixed, pressed, swished, smoothed, and transferred our design on a large piece of plexi, so we will have a lasting piece of artwork. This was fun because we got to use our hands and it really came out beautifully. Judy Graham has been coming to read us Rikki-Tikk-Tavi, one of Kipling's classics. While Judy reads, some of us enjoy drawing pictures, asking questions, and really using our imagination. While questions pop up, I've been using the computer to help with some of the answers... especially finding pictures of these exotic Indian jungle animals (mongoose, muskrat, cobras, tailor bird). Judy has been so pleased with what a smart bunch of kiddos we have here and I couldn't agree more!
Reminder: SFLC will be closed for Spring Break (March 28th- April 1st). Staff and any parent volunteers are more than welcome to help with a fun spring cleaning day on Friday, March 25th.
Hope everyone has a healthy and fun weekend!
